starting and reversing problems

YO, What up?? Got a couple of questions and im hopin someone will reply with some answers!! Alright, I bought my 1990 fastback 240 in late feb. When purchased i had a hard time getting the car to start. went and got new spark plus new battery and it came with a new distributer cap. since ive had it ive tried doing everything to it to get it running. i bought a new spark plugs, spark plug wires, new battery cables+and- a new alternator, and a new ignition system, and a new starter. seems like a lot , and it was!! but that mofo still won't start worth a darn!! I just wanna know whats draining my battery power bc ive gone threw 5 batt. without even cranking it. My reverse is also blown?? this bothers me because all of my other gears are perfectly fine, and 1st and reverse are the same gear. if you have a clue please respond!!
