I will be starting my project car in about one week as soon as I get another car.I have already got the springs that I want to put on the car but for know I have to look at what type of shocks and struts to go with since this will be the first project car.I am hoping to get a RB25DET withen the next year or so. I want to start with the little things that I don't want to for get about. Like the brakes have to fix those before I do any engine swap.

The project car is a 93 240sx se hatch back. The springs are Dropzone springs suppose to drop car down by 1.8 front and back. I know that I can't forget about the camber adjustment for the 1.8 drop of the front and rear.

I am not sure for the brakes for what year of 300z I should get the brakes off and I am not looking to spend over 500 bucks for a pair of used brake calipers. I will have to get the front and back calipers since the back calipers on the back of the 240 is sticking every time i fix the problem.

you can probably just get kyb agxs for your struts or if you have enough money go with konis.

for the brakes, i think any brakes from the z32 body style will work. if u use the rear i think u wont have an ebrake unless u get the whole ebrake assembly from the 300

Just curious why you'd spend so much money on the motor, and only get something like dropzone springs for suspension. It pays to just have it done right the first time.

Research before modding please. Many people opt for the 30mm aluminum brakes which bolt right on except for the conversion lines needed. The rear brakes are also alot harder if you still want to retain your ebrake and a little more expensive for parts. You also need to concider 5 lug or staying 4 lug and you need to use a 300zx master cly if you are using Z brakes on all 4 corners. I won't comment on the suspension choice.

Dropzone sucks. Practically anything and everything else available short of e-bay junk is better.

Just so you know, KYB's cannot handle anything above a 1.5 inch drop, doing so voids your warranty.

The reason that I choose dropzone is because of the 1.8 drop and I am going for handling on roads and by droping it 1.8 is should increase the chance of better handling but not all ways.Got take a risk some time. Other then just going to bed and getting up the next day.For the Warrenty goes, there is always a chance of voiding the warrenty on any thing. If u need a warrenty for a part and it brakes down most people would spend more money on buying a better product instead of buying the same product that failed them in the first place. The motor to me is cheap since I found a place on the net that will ship the engine for free. The engine comes with ECU,wire harness, all required cables, cam angle sensor, complete intake manifold, alternator, turbo, shiftlinkage, and a 5speed trans. For only $2450

Actually, drpzone just sucks, the exrta .3 inches you get from crappy springs with stock struts is not going to help you out for squat.

I suggest you SEARCH the forum a little bit for "dropzone" and you might find out what some other members think about the springs and their general quality. I just think that you might want to consider some quality stuff rather than crap.

lowering springs don't make the car handle better, the spring rates of the chosen springs do. If you want something for handling purposes get a set of the rsr race springs and some good shocks with it. Everybody says that the kybs can't handle the drop, my a$$. I've had my agx's with eibach sportline(2" + drop) springs for 4 years now(about 40,000 mi.) without any problems.

As far as taking risks, you should only take calculated risks. This means taking previous experience and weighing your options. After doing this you will realize that "dropzone" is not the appropriate choice for springs (not for any kind of performance at least).
