I have read up on all i can on wiring both rb20/25 and I understand it all. BUT on my harness(rb) there is no thick black/white wire (starter). There is only a thick red/yellow one?! Is this it? If so, why the difference. If not, what should i do?

ok, are you talking about the 240sx harness that connects to the starter, alternator. The Lower engine harness. Thats what I am currently trying to do. But do i just connect it to the alt, starter, and then plug it into the original plugs on the 240? The thing that is confussing me is the info that is on the web. that starts using the black/ white wire on the rb plug....can you clarify that for me???

If I remember correctly, you connect the red/yellow and the blk.white together. on the 240 it is black & white and the rb is is red/yello bu tthe serve the same purpose. next to the blk/white is a straight white in the same plug. that white is constant hot. try to touch that one to the red/yellow and see if the starter turns over, if so connect them like I said. That is how I did it.

It's easy to use the R32 lower harness with the starter and alternator wires on it. I did mine that way it took less than 2 hours for me get it wired up.

The white/red wire isn't on those two plugs on the KA side, it is on the plug that is connected to the KA fuse block.
