Ok my car will not start and has completely burned up my metal braided line. I can only get a click out of the starter no turning... This would happen as soon as I hooked up the battery. The alternator is a brand new Ka unit. I checked how I hooked up the wires and everything seems to be right...haha but for real WTF would cause so much power to ground through that cable? Could it be that the internals in the starter are burned? Im very frustrated and wondering if this has ever happened to anyone?

If you are talking about your braided hydraulic clutch hose burning up ,then you have bad engine ground. When you try to start the car it is trying to use the hose as a ground.I have seen shift and speedometer do the same thing .
