starter

i just finished up hooking up everything on the sr! i try to crank it over and it trys at first, it was trying to crank, just seems like it didn't have enough juice in the battery, so i jump the battery and try to start it and the starter didn't do anything..

the car has power and everything, just the starter doesn't do ANYTHING

possibilities? starter not grounded right? battery signal from trunk not strong enough? im using a 0 gauge wire

If its not the ground wire and its not cranking at all you can always take it to an auto store to get it tested. You could also try hitting it with something while someone is cranking. If its bad you can just buy a ka starter and switch the internals.

dirty connections o the solenoid and power terminals. Wire brushed them all up.

clean battery terminals and a battery tie down help alot.

Dropped my mom's car off at a garage for inspection, I sat in my car with it off listening to the radio, then went to start but it wouldn't turn over. Old battery maybe? no just crappy terminals, now it starts and idles better.

Hit it with a hammer. My starter got stuck, did this once 4 years ago, and the car has run fine ever since.

w00t turns out it wasn't grounded well enough!
