starter question

sorry if this is a repost, searched and didnt find find the answer to my question. are starters on a ka24de the same for automatics and manuals? cause i thought they would be, but today i heard otherwise.

I believe the starters are the same. Even when replacing the flywheel for the atuo/five speed swap we kept the same starter. a simple search on a wholesale parts site should clear up any doubts. It appears the starters listed only have one sku for every one. so i would assume it would fit either.
