I seem to be having a starter issue in my Versa that I bought just over a year ago (20k miles). Just need a bit longer for it to turn over or sometimes I need to do it multiple times. I am thinking its not just that the starter is going but some other issue. It may also be weather dependent, it seems worse as it gets warmer.

I will get the dealer to look at it with my next oil change but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. I got some Techron in case someone has been supplying me with crappy fuel.

I apologize if this has been brought up before but I did not see it in the FAQ or anything.

To elaborate more on what boqibama said, there is a common issue with the fuel pump on certain Versas that causes them to lose fuel pressure when they sit for a while.

The symptom will be that when you first turn the car over, it won't fire up. It may take some cranking and then re-cranking to build up enough pressure in the fuel line to fire the injectors again.

That should give your dealer what they need to know to find the problem.

Thanks for the info guys,

should this be covered by my warranty? If not, whats this kind of work usually cost. As I understand the fuel pump is not expensive.
