starter problem???please help

when i start my car today, it makes cranky sound for like 2sec before it started. i have no clue whats wrong. any tips or advise would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't be replacing the starter based on your description, "clanky noise" sounds more like a bad heatshield ro exhaust hanger possibly in combination with a bad motor mount, if the starter itsel;f gets loose or weak you get a gear grinding noise, or it fails and just won't turn

It is making grinding noise, its like when tryin to start Ur car, when its already started. Sorry for the misleading description, I couldn't find the right word when I post it this morning.

is there any different between the turbo & non turbo starter or are they all the same???
