starter problem....please help

i have a 95 240sx with a s14 blacktop...it has a stage 3 flywheel and clutch....i hooked up all the wiring and tried to crank the motor....the starter selenoid is making a noise but it will not crank the flywheel....the flywheel will turn and the starter is good and the abendix is coming out....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....
