I have a 95 nissan 240sx. Last week I went thru a few days of tapping the starter to get its broke *** to work just to get me thru the weekend. Finally got it replaced monday morning and until tonight car has had no problems at all.

When my girlfriend got home with the car today after a 15 minute drive the car would not start. The noise coming from the car was like a high wound electrical motor like the starter is spinning or something?

I dont know a whole lot about trouble shooting this sort of stuff, so some advice would really be appreciated. The starter I purchased was a remanufactured part from autozone cost around 190 and has a lifetime warranty but the store clerk said that it will have to be ordered and I need to be sure this is the faulty part.

So please give any input u can if this is a starter issue or possible flywheel or my nightmare engine seizing or something worse.

Car details are sort of sketchy im lame and dont know very much about itits a 95 nissan 240sx completely stock aside from oil changes and replacing the starter i havent done a single thing to the car since i bought it and never had a problem.

Its sounds like you got a junk starter. Just make sure all your connections are clean and tight that you took off to replace the starter. If they are ok then you gotta get another one. This is providing your not hearing a sharp grinding sound [ as if the starter is slipping on the teeth of the flywheel]
