Starter Overrun??

I've had my 09 Rogue SL FWD for a month now and and it seems every other start of the vehicle, it sounds like the starter is staying engaged for a second or two after the vehicle starts. It doesn't do it every time. But is becoming more frequent. Anybody else have this issue or heard this noise? My car is going in for the first service at the end of the week. Just want to know if anybody else experienced this.
