starter not working

a few days ago when i went to start my Q, it wouldnt turn over, the starter would not even click, all i heard was my humming fuel pump priming and when i went to start it the only thing that would hapeen is that the security light would come on, i checked all my fuses grounds ect and replaced the blue relay way in the left corner of the engine bay and even ran power to starter and it made noise, it seems as if the solenoid is not engaging, so i have the starter unbolted now and have no clue how to get it out of their looks like i have to drop everything down their

Thats funny, my starter went out just last week. I replaced it but it was nearly impossible to unscrew the bolts.

What I did - Lifted the car up and used another jack to lift up the transmission to make that extra bit of room. That way I didn't have to do anything to the steering rack. All I did was remove the front sway bar.

After that I realized its a simple and quick process.
