Starter Not Working

Well my friend has a 93 240sx. Pretty much stock accept for an intake and exhaust. He recently got an oil change and after that his car had some trouble starting. He could turn it over once or twice and after that it wont start unless he pushes the car using the clutch. When he cranks it it sounds like a normal way a car starts accept it sounds like its real quiet like its faint.

Likely a bad battery or alternator.

The car still runs though thats the thing. So it can't be the alternator.
