So every once in a while my car would have a problem just not turning over. I just thought the starter was going out. So now I cant get anything to happen at all. Got a new starter, connected it up, but didn't install it. It takes a while with minimal tools. Still wont do any thing. Just some click, but its not the starter solenoid. I ended up disconnecting the starter and had the same clicking sound. Not sure what it is. I'm not sure if there is a relay in the solenoid or external, and just can't find it. I'm by my self so I can't turn the key and search for the sound. So I went to looking for wear the solenoid ground wire went. It goes threw the wiring harness a bit then threw some deep dark place in right fender or something. It's getting dark, so it makes it hard to track issues. I'm sure a bunch of you guys had this issue so I thought I could get some good info. Thanks all.

There is a relay. It's called the starter relay and is located behind and to the left of the battery. It's usually blue. That relay runs about $20. If it's not that, then it's your probably ignition. The part where your key goes into. There's about 6 inches of wire from that to an electrical connector. I believe that costs costs about $90 for that part. Yes, I've had the same issue before. The only other thing it could be if it's none of those, is the small button that gets pushed in when you press in your clutch before you start your car. That actually grounds out the entire starting system.

Thanks.II think the relay was the problem. I tried to jump the relay but couldn't figure that out. I got no response. Not sure why. So then I banged on it a little. went in the car turned the key and it finally started spinning. yeaaa. So, guess the relay was probably getting old. It was in the back of my mind the hole time. I wish I worried about that more at first. I heard the relay was probably in with the starter solenoid. I should have know better. So I'm a little on a budget at the moment. I wonder if I should take the starter back. I hear about them going out once in a while. What do you all think? Return or replace?
