I have a 92' 240sx. KA24DE. Just installed a new starter cause the other one finally died, I had to hit it to get it to start. So I take out the old one and put in a Reman for Advance Auto Parts(regreting sorta) cause now as soon as i hook up the battery the motor runs on. The key is not in the ignition and the thing just keeps running. It first happened after i got it in and cranked it to see if she worked, and it did, so i turn it off and the starter motor kept on running....and runnning....and running. It only stoped cause I disconnected the battery. Any ideas. I was thinking internal fault but they bench tested it at the parts store and it ran fine. I dont get it, the old starter never had this problem, as soon as i put in the new one and crank it...BAM its there. Anyone got something for me....please dont say ignition switch went now too.

it does not start untill you tell it to start but keeps going once you do? easy way to eliminate your car and be sure that its the starter. get her spinning and unplug little starter plug. leave the big wire connected. if it keeps going with the little plug-in disconnected then its internal. or you could just put a test light on her and see if you are getting the starter command after letting off the start pos on the ign switch. i dont have much faith in advance starters/alternators or their method for testing(frequently wrong).
