Has anyone replaced their starter motor yet? I want to see if I can get a new starter and swap it out this weekend. I noticed that for the past few days when I press the start button I get a click, followed by either nothing or a hesitant start process. I replaced the battery earlier this year and it's not dimming lights or dying after playing the radio with the car off, so I have to assume it's the starter motor. Any help is appreciated.

I don't recall many if any threads about the starter motor but I would imagine it is in the FSM in my signature. Probably has a decent howto.

I have not done it. Per the instructions you have to pull the intake manifold which sounds bad but the job is only rated at 2.3 hours, which is pretty low so it shouldn't be that bad.

Thanks for the replies. You're correct Debonair the manifold needs to be removed. I'll look into it.
