Starter issue

OK, so, my starter wont turn over now. It died when I got to work, then I tried the key a few times and got a click, and then it started... Tried to start it again after 5 minutes of running and it started.. Later after work it did the same thing, wouldn't start just click, until i turned the key about 20 times then it started. Now, the starter doesnt even click. I tried jumping the car thinking it was the battery, but doesnt really help, sometimes it clicks, sometimes i turn the key and just hear a relay in the drivers compartment making the noise it always makes.

This would indicate a bad starter wouldnt it?? I tried searching the forums and it would seem that everytime someones starter clicks it turns out to be a bad starter. Also, when I remove the starter all i need is a 9/16 socket right?

What motor? Yes sounds like starter is bad
