Im afraid that my starter is going out on my sr20, any ideas on where to get a new one or would it be easier to have this one rebuilt? Ideas?

You have to use the JDM starter, there isn't a US counterpart for it....Just call 240sxmotoring.com.....I'm sure he's got one around....Just call around. In the meantime while you wait for it to ship you can always use the ol' hammer to starter trick..... ....hahah

It will still start but sounds like the gear is stripped out cause it makes a terrible sound right after it starts.

you can rebuild the starter yourself if you can snake a ka24e starter motor.
