starter is spinning

i just finished my sr swap and when i plug the battery in the starter starts spinning. The key is out of the ignition and it still spins, i tried pulling the fuse to see what would happen and it still spins any ideas?

If it is not cranking the motor over then the 2 posts are either touching or you may have hooked the battery wire up to the wrong post on the starter.

If the starter is spinning and not engaging the engine then you hooked the battery to terminal C on the starter motor as opposed to terminal 30 on the solenoid. If this is the case pulling the fuse will have no effect because you are probably pulling some sort of ignition fuse which you are bypassing anyway. Overall, make sure the hot wire comming from the battery is connected to the correct terminal on the starter. There are only three connections on a starter. A large one on the solenoid (30), a small connection on the solenoid (50), and one going from the solenoid to the starter motor (C).
