OK so I started changing my starter and everything went fine until I tried to start her up, sounds like the flywheel didnt engage the starter. The new starter bolted on fine and everything is connected correctly. Could this mean the starter simply isnt positioned just right, or is there a bigger problem? Its a pain to hold that starter in place while tightening up the bolts, thinkin maybe I dont have it lined up right. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And Yes I searched the hell outta this topic, but couldnt find what I needed. Thx.

Oh and the sound is a loud winding almost grinding sound.

sounds like you didn't install the starter correctly.
