This is going to be a strange question, but I really need to know.

I've had this problem with my starter, I think everything else is in working condition, but one of the bolts keeps coming loose and falling out causing my starter to fail.

After looking at the bolt that was in there and not working and the space to take the bolt, I've pretty much guessed that the bolt has about a 9.9-10 mm diameter thread and needs to be about 50-55 mm long. The threading would be another problem, the biggest thing that I need, but I'm thinking about 1.5 mm thread.

I've got a bolt for it and I'm about to just force it in there to hold, but it would be better if I had the right bolt.

Thank you to anyone for any help.

I think the thread pitch is 1.5 mm. I'll try getting out to the garage soon and I'll check one for you.

That's some great input buddy.

Anyways, what I've come to conclude is that I'm not looking for a bolt to attach the starter but a nut to secure the starter on a bolt that is supposed to be protruding from the transmission.

After fully removing the starter, I noticed that there is a bolt on the upper attachment of the starter that is protruding from the transmission. Is there supposed to be another for the lower attachment?

your supposed to have a stud and a bolt and both should be 14mm or 9/16 the stud is to make it easier to install, so youll dont have to hold it whille putting in a bolt(cuz thatl be hard as hell for some)
