anyone know where the starter is located in a 95 j30?! I need to replace.

No offense, but my answer would be something like "If you have to ask, you can't afford it." Take it to some place and pay someone to do it.

The J30 doesn't have a conventional starter like most automobiles. If you are having starting problems either detail what you are experiencing and we can try to help or take the vehicle to an Infiniti dealer or a mechanic familiar with J30's.

passenger side.bottom rear.im having mine done as we speak.i just had the dealership do it..mine was running on.its about 450.00 or so.labor and all.

diamond is right about it's location, but it's an easy DIY job. only 2 bolts hold the starter to the engine. easiest way to get to the starter is to jack the car up, remove the passenger front tire and boom, you're right below the starter. a new starter at http://www.kragen.com costs about 145. so save $300 and do it yourself!

Follow the black and yellow wire from the distribution box, left side. It ends in the first pulley on the left side of engine, from the ground up. That's where the starter is in my '93 J30. It's a real mechanic's job. Good luck. C.J.
