Within 4 hours, I have accomplished getting the ka and transmission undone, all I need to do is hook-up the cherry picker and take it out. I also removed p/s lines, a/c lines, radiator, and a/c condensor plus the full exhaust... All in all the day went great, no broken bolts, no hang-ups... I have got one question tho, Do I remove the rear dust shield from the ca transmission, if using the ka drive shaft? Anyways I'll keep everyone up dated with pics pretty soon. thanks

use the ka dust sheild, if you use the ca one it will rub against the driveshaft. I learned the hard way. It will sound like finger nails on a chalk board x 10

i think i had my ka dustshield rub on the ka drive shaft, maybe because the transmission was off a s14? i dont know, but that thing caught on fire underneth the car =\

lol dvd that happened to me. first test drive i had not shift boots on or anything and when i would go over 20 it was like fireworks under my car. it really should be known to check driveshaft and dust sheild before takin the car out for first drive.

Some new pictures in my album!!! http://nissaninfiniticlub.net/...nterm=

have a few quick questions... First is it easy to get the injector plugs and all the intake mani plugs mixed up??? Also does everyone have extra plugs left over after the swap.

p.s Im using a auto harness and ECU on a 5-speed car, without powersteering or A/C.

UPDATE!!! I got it finished on friday and drove it for the first time... It was awsome, oil pressure is high but Dee said that it was supposed to be, so im happy, no ticking or knocking, everything is working correctly. Im so happy, now if I can resist not running it hard until I break in my brand new clutch. I could only use 1st gear and a lil bit of 2nd, but it feels soo much smoother and faster then that old ka that it came with! My only question is I bought an Autometer tach and I need to know where to hook it up to. The wire loop on the coil pack connector? or to the tach signal coming from the ecu? Other then that I have to install my tokico blue/tein s-tech suspension set-up, install my electric fan, put the downpipe on, than throw the hood back on and im finished...
