...... and it sounds absolutly horrible. I am currently working on the car and not the engine and decided to give her a start and OMG! it sounds like a sick dog hacking with some horrible vibration. I've lost 1 qt of oil( turned to sludge maybe- I hope not!) and my coolent leak had not gotten any worse. The lack of it starting and running every day only makes a stronger arguement for buying a JDM engine to replace what I have. Weird thing about all this is that when I put her up to work on her she ran fine. Man you can tell an old engine when it sits, that's for sure.

God knows what I've done with the car and seeing & hearing this after only 2 weeks of inactivity has me shaking my head! OH, but being able to sit in it again brought back memories........

I guess I'm asking if anyone has had this same type of thing with an Old, old engine sitting for a while. I've had it sit before but it NEVER sounded this bad when starting her back up for the first time. red

I usually don't start my 90 for a couple of months at a time (Jan. - Mar.) sounds horrible for the first 15 - 20 seconds then once the adjusters get pumped up it runs fine.

Probably should pull the fuel pump fuse and turn it over until it get oil pressure, but I don't.

Red I also had that right after i bought my active. first job was water pump, got the wrong one from IoS initially, had to get another, and so on. 10 days between starts. anyway I also changed the filter and oil since the filter was so accessible with lower hose off. now i always prime my oil filters before spinning 'em on--but of course can't get it completely full. on first start, i thought it was gonna come unglued for 10 sec, but then settled out. filter changes since then have been uneventful, but then the whole job has been completed and restarted with engine still warm.oh yeah, only 102k on mine at the time--so i don't think its the mileage.
