This weekend i took advantage of the sun to start laying out m,y trunk for the AIR ride and for my beat.

I was a little discouraged that i couldnt fit everything i wanted into my spare tire hole. Oh well, guess i polish out a slim n skiny 5 gal and put it on the back wall.

But heres what i got .

My valves are on the way and so are all the wiring. i also need to start building my sub box'sGonna squeese 2 polk 12's into the quartersI want that clean, OEM style lookNot the ugly box that they came in.

2 750w Polk 12's with a 500 amp, another 500 amp is on the way. So i can push 350-450 to each sub without waring out the amp or subs tooo quick

Check with a parts store. I used to carry them at Advance Auto Parts, only $30. If it trips, you reset. Forget replacing fuses, ever.

ITs ugly, thats for sure. But all of the Pros are diffinatly beter than that one con. haha

im gonna do that. Thanks tibbs.

Ran most of my wiring this weekend.

Got my 4 Gauge from the battery to the trunk. Distribution blocks are both mounted and wired up. (one for pos. and one for neg.) I know its over kill, but it will get good currant flow in and out.

Where is the best place for me to mount my massive 4 gauge ground wire too?

I still need to wrap all of the wires and hid them. And instal/ hide the breaker.

That is justr a dummy tank. im cutting down the feet at work. my new one will be the 3/4" below the floor. So my hinged panel will sit nice and flush

Still need to sell my other valves so i can by the valve bock. and gettin rid of my other 3 gal tanks to get my 5 gal.

Also started to put on my new batterie ends, and the went to crap... The pos cable need to be replaced. Gonna pick up a new one from the parts place soon. but i got the ground one done. and the 4 AWG and the 2 8 AWG (whatever they are for) and connected. Not its just the main wire that need to be replaced and hooked up.

It may be ugly, but it's only about 3 inches long, 2inches wide.

So i was digging through the back of my shop and i found one of those breakers!Haha If you hadnt have shown me the pix i probably would have over looked it!It IS a lot smaller that it looked in the pix!Sweet!

FED EX lost my valves So i got more on the way now.An i TIG'd up some shorter feet for my 3 gallon, so now it fits under the floor level. Gonna get it all plumed up this weekend (i hope)And then to re installing the struts and gettng hydro line made.A little more money than DOT airbrake line. But you dont have to deal with the compression fittings n such. Then i get to start fabbing up a new RSTB to connect the top to the Factory one.Im gonna hang my Slim 5 Gallon tank there once it gets powder coated.

So you're running a 3 and 5 gallon tank? Hoping the 3g is for the rear. Are you planning on running 1 compressor for each tank?

Im gonna tie the two tanks together. So its like im running an 8 gallon tank. And both pumps will be running together. The cycle time will be less, so the pumps will last longer because they wont be working as hard.

I Got my Rear sturts fully installed now.Leader Hoses and all. Just waiting for my Valves to get here so i can get the rear fully opperational.

Struts in

Holes Drilled for Leader Hose

I had fun getting the car off the jack because the car was lower than the height of my lowpro jack. haha

Haha Mud Flaps on the ground!!

Now i just need to shorten the upper links so i can get more camber. Cuz once it tucks in more then it will get about an inch lower. I happy with the results of just bolt in struts. But soon it will be lower.

if i were you id only run the 5 gallon...i worked in an air suspension shop for 2 years and the compressors don't like filling up alot of gallons of air they go bad quick..probably within a year, 2 if your lucky. You want lots of tanks if your going to be hopping it off the ground using nitrogen tank but for a Q one five gallon and your 2 compressors would be best for lasting the longest

2 Years ago i was thinking the same thing, but every pump is differient.I bagged a buddys dime just over 2 years ago. He wanted 2 8 gallon tanks with 2 480's. Running a 165-200 PSI switch.I told him he was nuts and they would die ASAP. 16 Gallons is a lot of air for only 2 pumps. But he was dead set on that combo. I said whatever, its not my truck, i warned him. And he has never had a single issue with the setup!!!I dont get it!5 gallons is just not enought for me. I had 6 gal in my civic, with 2 480's. And it was perfect. but my ED weighed in at 2,180lbs. So i ws planning on 3 3gal tanks for the Q. but 2 3 gals on the wall just wont look right.

But i have heard story of pumps dieing out quick.

So the way im thinking about it. Im gonna run a 110, 145 PSI switch, and as long as there is no leaks in the system, and i dont ever completly fun out of air then i could be fine. With 2 pumps they dont have to work nearly as hard with eachother.

MY Valve blocks came in!!!These suckers were a preeeeetty penny! But they are worth it because you dont have near the mess of individual valves. If ytou hiding everything in the fenders or something then they are fine. But you keeping things nice and simple, they are sooooo worth it.

I know its a crappy pix, But i sure you can get the idea. Each valve block has 4 valves on it.2 in's and 2 outsPlus it has ports for PSI sending units I picked up 2 of these, one for the front and one for the back. I cant wait for this weekend!!!IT BETER STOP RAINING OR IM GONNA HURT SOMEBODY!!!!

Valve Blocks are in. Now all i need it to finish the front so i can get my hydro line's made. This is what she will be lookin like. The wires will be cleaned up, and with 4 more 3.8 lines running into the spare tire hole. Other than that she it good to go. I might put some larger ruber feet on the pumps to quiet down more of the viberation.
