Started her up for the first time tonight since the crankshaft collar and new oil pump. No matter how many times I double check stuff I always get sick to my stomach before the first turn of the key. Fired it up and everything looks good. Oil presure was at 90psi and then slowly went down to 75psi. Had good vaccum at about 15hg. Need to finish the bracing for the headlights and take it for a drive. No leaks!!! http://nissaninfiniticlub.net/...age/1

Congrats on the rebuild. Did you get any head work done? and when are you getting that Protech Equal length manifold for your RB20 :P. Rebuilding scares me

Yep, rb20. The rb26 n1 pump bolts right up. You could still read the nissan logo on the inside of the main and rod bearings. Now all I need is to finish the front mount and get it ready for the track. (clebrating/drinking= rambling on)

cool.i thought about reusing my bearings in the rebuild as they looked nearly new, but doesnt make sense to skimp out when you've got new everything else...report back how it behaves, with the collar it should nevar slip evar!

Had a valve job done the first time I put the motor in and put on a new hg. Was able to leave the intake and exhaust on this time. Don't tell anyone, but I did the whole job start to finish on the engine hoist.

Haven't made up my mind on fuel management yet. I just bought the wife a 06 SE-R so the budgit is some where around e-manage or a chip tune. After that I'll be going with the t3/to4e with the 50 trim. Don't want to put too much more in it as I plan on selling soon.
