start up?

k, ive just about fixed everything the car had. now the last problem is the start up. A little while ago the car would take like 3-5 trys to turn on and when it was driven for a while it would start up first try, until it got cold again.... funny thing is i turned it off the other day and now for some reason ever since then it just takes like 10-12 times to turn on . Its so annoying!. the first few times the ignition will turn on and the motor wont start all u hear is the ignition,,, then after several trys it trys to start up but wont then finally it attempts to turn all the way and i have gas it a little if i wanna turn it on quiker. ive just about had it with this and idk what it is!. i did a tune up, changed spark plus, changed my coil back to the stock 240sx one cuz mines had a vw beetle coil lmao. any ideas? or links i can read ... anything that might help?

well i did more looking and it turns out its my fuel pump. but anyways umm i was driving the car kinda far and it just turned off on me, I really dont think thats the fuel pump but i know it didnt over heat. This 240 is nothing but problems!

did the electronic in the car shut off as well as the car ? or was it just the motor.

just the motor. i have been told it was my fual pump and what nt but i jsut dont understand y it takes me like 50-60 miles or so, and then just it starts giving out almost like it lacks fuel or somthing and it just shuts off. And then when i let it sit for a while it runs for another little while. if i dont let it sit for a while and try to keep driving it shuts off like every 5 min on the road.

have you checked the relays that run the pump maybe one of them could be bad, turning on then off over a sed amount of time. could also be your fuel regulator not getting the right vaccum that it needs to supply the right ammount of fule, you could have a leak.
