Hello Everyone I posted this in the general forum but recieved no feedback.

i had this problem for 3 weeks now after it pulled 340 code which i replaced with nissan part both cmps and ckps. In the process, I also cleaned the throttle butterfly area with electronic contact cleaner, then had the throttle relearned at the dealer...it runs fine and I thought this fixed the problem. Still the car only wants to start in the morning and evening when out temp is below 85 degrees. I could drive around all day and car runs fine as long as I do not shut the car off, otherwise it will not restart unless temp gauge says 85 degrees or below. Which means I have to leave the car till night time...lol. What sensor controls that temp gauge anyways?

Symptoms:
1. starter cranks but no sparks at around 85 degress of above.
2. I can hear the fuel pump priming, but since no spark...dont think its fuel problem, unless there is a temp sensor there somewhere.
3. stock radio is out but all fuses looks good.

Already Done:
1. changed both crank and cam sensor due to 340 code (genuine nissan sensors).
2. cleaned throttle and relearned
3. check wiring for crank and cam sensor( all good)
4. change coolant temp sensor and check wires ( all good)

Am I missing something...i just dont get what causing a temperature related no start. Is ignition transpoder locking me out at the temperature range? Any input that has been proven would be helpful.Thanks.

Interesting but I think you are on to something since you mentioned no spark.

My experience goes back to the days of replacing points, condensor, and checking dwell angle
Much easier to troubleshoot with only one coil, distributor cap and wires to each spark plug.

If you don't have the necessary diagnostic equipment you may have to let the dealer find the problem.
Metals expand and contract as temperature changes so something may be grounding out when the engine is hot?

Good luck and let us know the root cause.
