Ok so I’ve had my S13 (Redtop) for years I have no problems with the car besides the normal wear a tear issues we all have. Except one, I have issues during start up. I can not drive the car while the temp sensor is connected. If I try to drive the car while it’s connected I need to stay above 2000 RPM to keep the car from flooding out. It’s not the temp sensor (I’ve been thru 2 of those), It’s not the ECU (been thru 2 of those). I’m thinking maybe a short some where in the harness or a bad ground? I’m going to re-do the timing one more time and see what happens. After that I’m going to have to pull the dash a re-check my wiring.

You guys have any suggestions?

I am having a similar problem my AFRs are really low 10.0 or lower when I have the CTS plugged in, But if I unplug the CTS my AFRs are 10.1 to 10.3 at idle. I also have a real hard time starting my car it usually floods and doesnt start. I think it could be wiring but I dont know. If you have a multimeter turn your key on but dont start the car and check the voltage of your CTS it should be around 5 volts.

What's the voltage read between the sensor wires when it's connected? Should be between 1-3V.
