A few days ago I noticed that my car doesn't do the gauge sweep upon startup like it used to. Still starts fine, and no errors of any sort. I can't remember when was the last time I saw it do this. Is this something that can be disabled somehow or is it a indication of something wrong? Or does it only do it under certain conditions? For a second I thought maybe it never did, but I remembered it used to because I remember it bothering me that the speedometer gauge went up to 260km/h only even thought the cluster went up to 280km/h, haha. Anyone else with this issue?

Fixed!! There is a option on the little LCD on the cluster... If you go into options in there, you will find one called EFFECTS. Mine was somehow turned off. Turning effects to ON brought the sweeping thing back... Sort of a hidden "option" and not at all where I would expect to find it. We have the big screen with all sorts of other settings, you figured they would have put that in there as well. I don't know what other effects were disabled by it. Maybe some other minor detail. Now I wonder how long it's been off for?! Haha

Interesting! Did you recently change your battery or disconnect it to do some servicing of any kind?

I noticed when I changed out my battery last week, all sorts of little settings were reverted back to the "standard" mode. Most obvious for me was the steering column and seat moving all the way back when you turn the car off.

The car went to Infiniti dealership to get a new USB port installed as mine was loose and kept losing connection after every minor bump. Was pretty annoying. They probably disconnected it while doing that job. Sort of a silly "problem" but maybe someone down the road finds this thread useful.
