Tomorrow I plan on starting to prep my g/f's 92 for paint... I will snap pics along the way and post them. Bought the car last summer with the idea of 1.5jz'ing it.

However were going another direction, I'm going to repaint. j30 brakes, leather.... 06 sentra wheels and drive it for the summer then sell it and buy a 300zx convertible for next year.

the start of the pic's

I sanded the hood... found a decent amount of rock chips, so I sanded to front all the way down.... and the bare spots got etching primer. going to hit it up with 2k primer all at once, just wanted something on it to keep it from rusting.

The trunk is getting the same treatment. fenders tomm.

The 240 Vert would be more practical than the Z32 Vert. And way cheaper too.

Practical as far as? the wants are... convertible... she likes the 2 seat style of the 300....

That and why do a turbo or engine swap in the 240 to make it even worth driving when I can put an exhaust, intake and a set of wheels on it and be done?

This isn't anywhere near a daily driver.

Practical as far as mpg, room in the car, and working on it. But if its not a daily then wouldn't matter. Prices of the Z32 Verts were insane when I was looking in '06 ($10k+ for '93 with 110k miles), but maybe they've come down some.

a nice 93 auto can be had for about 6k.......

When the 240 is done I would expect to be able to get around 4k for it. thats fresh paint, new tires and wheels all new brakes and leather. wont make much for my time but... I had fun rebuilding a car.
