Hey guys

I have a 93 240sx hatchback....just finished doing a dual cam s14 ka24de swap... The motor was running in a friends 240 before and I know for sure it had no problems...after everything was finished I went to start the car....it would start then idle at 2/2.5 rpms then go up to about 3.5 rpms and then just turn off....I checked pretty much everything I can think off....

Does any one have any clue what might be wrong...

Is it the idle control valve...

Could be a ground wire somewhere that I missed...

I mean I know the motor was running fine before so it had to me something I did or didn't do...

Please any help will be greatly appreciated....

Check the grounds, just to be safe. Check timing with a timing gun. Maybe replace the spark plugs, wires, and distributer?

make sure your dizzy timing is set right and then go to your tps and make sure thats good. test it with a voltmeter and there is a screew right above it you can loosen to adjust it. turn the car on and mess with the tps and get it to idle around 800rpm.

Could be a coolant temp sensor causing the ECU to think its much colder so its in warm up mode.
