I am in need of a new engine for my 89 S13. Well today I got an offer from someone nearby for a low milage Stanza engine. I was wandering if it would be worth the time/work to swap this motor in. I bought the S13 with a blown head gasket, and in the middle of installing a new one my frined somehow managed to lose a good number of the nuts/bolts. (Which was immediatly followed by a good number of ****** slaps) So needless to say it will be next to impossible to get the motor back together again. So the main question is how hard/expensive will it be to get the Stanza motor in. BTW its out of a 90.Ryan

it wouldn't work at all man, sorry. if you're only missing nuts and bolts i'm sure a dealer can help you along with the diagrams in the FSM. There aren't many bolts involved in an SOHC head gasket change.

If it's anything like the SR (which I am all but positive it is) forget about it. Nissan uses a different block casting for FWD and RWD applications to accomodate the different mounting concerns in each. As such-no way, no how. Just buy the bolts from Nissan, shouldn't be too big a deal. Worst case scenario, you should be able to pickup a RWD KA24E for next to nothing.

Won't work, way easier to get a RWD KA. Hell, I've got four sitting in my back yard.......
