Hi, I'm wanting to take my standard nats immobiliser off the car....or at least disarm it, Is there a wire I can give a live/earth to, to bypass the system, I'm wanting to be able to start my car from a remote, but it can't at the minute, Because of the chip in the key not being able to pick it up from that distance,I've knowen on vauxhalls that you can tape the chip to the receiver, but on this nissan it only seems to disarm when the key it turned into the ignition mode...and yes the alarm does make the full ignition come on when trying to start so it's not that, but i can't see how it only picks it up when turned onto the ignition?anyone help?

You cant. Depending on the car you have ,which you neglected to metion, The IVMS sends a signal to the BCM or ECM to tell it the chip is the right one. The IVMS is attached directly to the ignition switch. Its part of the assembly. Nissan has not released any information on the specifics of the IVMS for obvious reasons. If the IVMS accepts the key chip ID it then sends a signal to the ECM or BCM with a specific code that ws generated the last time the car was shut off. If it doesnt see that same code when starting the car it will shut down most of the ecm and prevent fire and fuel from getting to the engine. That code changes every time the car is shut off too. The system is very complex to protect the owner of the car from theft.

Thanks for you're reply, sorry it's a nissan primera p11 1998If the chip/key was stuck to the reciver on the ignition switch then in theory it still should be able to start shouldn't it? because it's still getting the same code that it would if the key was taken away and put back in, It's ford this can be done to I think, Sure i've done one before.

The IVMS is part of the ignition switch. Theroetically it should work. But I believe there needs to be a rotation of the ignition lock to get the IVMS to go live and pic up the signal from the chip.
