standard car cd player plays mp3

I have the ac and i searched around and noposts about this have came up so the question is does the standard cd player in the 2.5 play mp3 and if so how do i burn them cause i keep getting a no track error.

I don't believe it does. Only the Bose branded units do. Check the labeling on the front of the unit as well. Mine says MP3. Premium package with Bose.

that owners manuel is really misleading as it justs says that mp3 playback is possible does not say which unit

if you look at the specs page on nissanusa.com it only says AM/FM/CD for standard stock stereo. If you want mp3, there's the aux input
