By now (if you've been paying attention at all to the number of build threads that Nico has, or have trolled other forums from time to time loooking at other z32 builds,) you've came across the usual engine management options:
Nistune, Aem EMS, chips from every company imagineable that's built specifically for your mod list, custom local tuning setups, people running reprogrammed skyline ecu's, then you have the SAFC and the like, Enthalpy solutions, and other options...
Lets say you dont like any of the options above: you can think of any number of reasons not to go with chips, or nistune (maybe you want a universal solution?) but you wanted the functionality of a stand alone, and didnt want to use a piggy back. etc..
If your build requires, (or you just want,) fully stand-alone engine management, you could put together a full EMS system for your build that would cost well under 1000 installed and tuned, (even farther under 1000 if you tune yourself.) Here's the MegaSquirt III.
Ill leave you to read up on the features it provides: http://www.ms3efi.com/product.html
Here's who sells MS3 systems.

Here's an article on how to make this system work on a VG30dett.

For the people that have more experience in this than I do, what's your take on the Megasquirt? I've researched a fair bit into platforms that readily use this type of system (miata's mainly,) and they seem to love the setup, but there are others.
And what types of things should be kept in mind when diving into stand alone engine management? i dont know if there's the ability to account for two intakes with a Megasquirt EMS, but im sure someone could figure out a work around.
