I'm planning on ordering a set of coilovers this afternoon, but still trying to decide between the gr+ and the gr+ pro. I'll be mainly using the car as a daily driver and the occasional drifting on weekends or whenever. Before, I was planning on just getting the gr+, but after finding out that I can get the gr+pros for only $70 more, I'm kinda in a dilemma. People say the helper springs that come with the gr+pro is really worth it but I'm not sure if it's gonna be that much of a difference when my car is gonna be mostly my DD

So is it worth getting the gr+pro for a DD with occasional track/drift, or just save the $70 and get the gr+?

thanks

If people say its worth it and your spending 1000+ dollars on coils don't you think the extra 70 dollars is worth it?

You need GR+ Pro because of this. Helper springs should help some.

I've been looking at Stance as well (for when I upgrade to coils) and this "Helper Springs" stuff has me wondering too. Do they help with DD by making the spring rates a bit softer on bumps and such?

This may be a stupid question, so feel free to flame if it is!

I think it make rebound smoother. If there's any change with spring rate, it would be higher because it's a small spring on top of(actually bottom) coilover spring. It's not that thick, so I doubt that it'll play big role to the spring rate.

Stance AL+pro's. Same thing as the GR+pro's but the dampers are all alum. AKA lighter and much more corrosion resistant (except for galvanic corrosion which is my problem at the moment). I think they might be 100$ more than the GR+pros' I have em and love em, but then again I have never owned any other coils.

Just my .02 cents

too bad you have to wait 6 weeks for stance coilovers right now cuz like every 240sx owner in the country bought a set yesterday. grrrrrrrrr and ken at enjuku told me that the next shipment is already half sold so if anyone was thinking about buying these anytime soon you better get on the list asap or you'll be waiting way longer
