In the directions for adjustment of the coilover it says to losen the nut on top of the damper and then rotate coilover. This makes sense for the rear, but not for the front. When needing to adjust the front, do I losen the nut on the bottom or the top of the coilover. Thanks

you'll want to loosen the bottom collar (obviously) and loosen the large top nut holding the shock in position. In all seriousness, the easiest way to change ride height in the front is to unbolt your spindle from the top, and then just spin the lower coilover bracket. That way you don't have to loosen the top nut. You can leave the top tight.

This is helpful if you are like me and your left front coilover was FUBAR'd and the top nut was tightened by the hammer of thor.
