when i get on my car and then i come to a light or stop sign put in the clutch, the car either tries to die or dies. i owned a 92 dohc it did it, now i own a 93 dohc it did it, and when i swapped to the sr20 it does it. the original motor on my 93 ka24 was an auto with 55k miles and it did it in an auto. the 92 was 5-speed with 250k mi. it did it as well. what causes this, its really becoming a pain and sometimes has a hard time starting right back up. all three motors act the same on this problem. thanks

Did you check if its getting spark or fuel. Like if the fuel pump, fuel injectors are leaky, ignition module or distributor is dead, or Ignition coil is getting spark. Either the IACV is bad but don't know if sr20 has iacv.

The stalling problem may be caused by the following:- TPS malfunction- Sticking EGR valve- Dirty IAA valve - Vacuum leak

i know its not the tps sensor, its in good timing, wxcellent spark, smooth throttle response and revs to rev-limiter with no hesitation, just idles at 500-700, battery light comes on, makes a couple of clicking noises and dies "if i dont hit the throttle to keep it running" after a couple of pumps at the gas the idle will com to 900-1000 and is fine. it only tries to die when driving and then come to a stop sign or light and take the rpm's from wherever they are at to idle by putting the clutch is. now the stuck egr valve sound more like it, where is it located?

The IAA valve is where the idle speed is adjusted.
