i have an automatic 1990 nissan maxima and most of the time im driving and it just turns off or it will not start any ideas what it is and how i can fix it??? Please help

Had this prob one time and it turned out to be the wiring from the Alt to the Battery. Are you losing electric or does all your dash lights stay on?

my dash lights stay on my headlights stay on but my turnsignals dont work i was thinking that it was maybe the starter cuse like i said it dosent always start up all the time
