Please help. I made a promose that I will finished working on my J by SUnday (today) and I think I totally screwed up. Now, I won't have any time and trsansportation as I will be working my *** off for the next month! Please help. I have never been so helpless before.
Background:1) I replaced the timing belts + water pump + auto-tensioner + idler pulleys cam/crak seals + acc belts + alternator 2) I cleaned up the TPS connector, MAF connector and the MAF itself with electrical cotact cleaner.3) I installed B&G transmission cooler.Sympton:1) After I finished everything, I started the car. It seems to be fine except a louder tick than b4. After 2~3 minutes of idling, the J just stalled. I restarted and my poor J had a very rough idle and then stalled.2) I can rev the engine with no problem. The engine feels smooth at higher rpm (about 1k rpm) but idles so poorly at below 1k rpm.3) The louder clinking sound seem to disapear after the car is warmed.My guess:Stalling may be caused by 1) Air 2) Gas 3) ignition. which one? Could that be the MAF?
