stalling issues

got more problems with stalling....tonight my 240 started stalling...again! it was doing the same thing before i took out the AIV and it's starting all over again, not good, it only happens when i push in the clutch or when i disengage gears...does someone know if something other that the AIV could cause this? :help

check the coolant temp sensor. mine was corroded up, cleaned it off with some brake cleaner. car runs like a champ. this might not be the prob but definately couldnt hurt. HTH

check your idle

Could be a clogged filter element in that chacoal cannister. When they get old, your car runs rich and stops idling. Inexpensive to replace the element. Could also be an 02 sensor, which eventually go.

i kno it's not the idle....cause the car idle's fine....it's the same deal as when the AIV was in....as soon as i get on the clutch(while driving, not from a standstill) it stalls....

did you ever fix this? because just tonight my car started doing this... idle has long been irregular, but i keep putting off the AIV removal. but just tonight it started stalling every time i would approach a light or stop sign and put in the clutch. wheres the coolant temp sensor? =/

does this only apply to s13s? my kouki s14 has a tendency to do this also...
