ok so i just got my car running about 3 hours ago, after it had been sitting for 3-4 months. started up perfectly. i spun it a few times before w/o the EGI fuse to get the oil pressured. i left the garage where i work on it and set off on the usual shakedown cruise. got to the stop light right outside and sat there for 2 minutes or so. everything was fine idle was perfect etc... and all of a sudden it just stalls. acted just like i had pulled the key out. tried to start it back up of coarse and nothing. after pushing it out of the intersection (and nearly death by a dodge truck) checked everything out, egi fuse was blown (the 25 amp big fker) i swapped it out with my power window 30 amp fuse with some modification and still nothing works. im very sure its not getting spark because theres straight fuel-air coming out the exhaust. any ideas on things to check?

You really have something hooked-up wrong on your harness. You should not be blowing fuses unless the wiring job has flaws. Sounds like your problem is out there near the grey and brown plugs by the battery tray. Take your time with this or you're going to smoke your ecu. One last thing, if and when you get it up and running, instead ofbeing so quick to take it for a test ride, test the voltage while the car is idling and dry-rev it while monitoring the alternator's voltage output. If your alternator is surging, you're going to burn-up all your electronics.

i was dailying the thing before i parked it to do some turbo and exhaust work procrastination and a few problems with the coolant and oil lines were what made it take so long. didn't mess with any wiring, thats why this has me so confused...

could something have gotten pinched while you were working on it? perhaps some wire has rubbed through "in the fray" and is now making contact with the chassis or something.

deff a possibility. I broke a wire when I was doing my headgasket. It was a pain to figure out where I broke it.

well the wiring for the AFM had made contact with the exhaust manifold and burned through I guess causing a short. it had fallen off the manifold and looked like it was alright. I think thats what initially blew the fuse. Only problem is I was in a pinch and put the 30 amp one from the PS/ABS into the slot (yea i know a 30 amp fuse for a 25 amp system... I needed to move the car). The wiring is fixed but it still won't start...

what can cause no spark? ive got fuel and air, but no spark. Theres no way all the coils went bad at once, and it should still atleast act like its going to kick over if it was down a coil or two.. or three. this doesnt make any sense at all... are there any parts that could just up and go like this? I'm thinking that theres only a few things left in the equation here ECU, CAS or ignitor...

Dee, sorry if its sounding like amateur hour in here, this isn't my first time doing this kind of thing and the car WAS running and being daily driven for a long while before I took it down and never had any problem like this...
