My car just starting stalling.

I have a 97 with the greddy kit.

It never use to stall unless I was really high in the rpms and pushed in the clutch, still even then it was rare,

The last couple days it will stall every 10th or so time I push in the clutch no matter what rpm I was at.

I then heard the slight whistle,

Then I noticed it only stalls if it starts whistling as soon as I push in the clutch.

BOV leak? < thats my only guess. (Greddy RS non-recirc)

My AFRs are a bit off ALL the time. Use to be the same for almost 2 years solid.

Old AFRs - Idle 14:1 / no load ~70mph 15:1New AFRs - Idle 13:1 / no load ~70 14:1

Thanks!!!

A vac leak will lean your AFRs out at idle. IS it only stalling when you've been in boost or does it stall when you simply push in the clutch?

Before this started it would stall once and a while if I was in boost and way up there in the rpms.....push clutch in....stall.

NOW it will do it every 5 to 10th time I push in the clutch, no matter what condition.

That is strage. Does your BOV stay open at idle? I don't know why so many are over looking this when it is so damaging. Inspect your throttle plate - if there is black gunk, even a small amount, scrub it out with a toothbrush and carb cleaner. Don't flood the engine with the cleaner.

This can also cause surging at idle so if you are noticing that...
