how much do u think a custom made grill for a j30 would go for. like, selling on ebay?? cuz im makin one for myself, if it goes over well, i might wanna mass produce them and sell them at a higher price. over all it would cost maybe 100 bux to make each one(grill+steel mesh). any thought??

Depend's on the time it takes per and what markup % you desire .But you will sell em' to Nico members at cost right

Im almost done with the CNC conversion on my Mill and already have a small foundry set up.I plan on tinkering with simular stuff as soon as it cools down some.

Painful to pour molten aluminum when it's 100 out

basically what i was asking, how much do u think people would be willing to pay for it. cuz theres a difference between what its worth, and what people will pay for it. esp on ebay. LOL

that would look really great. all i was thinking about was using the stock emblem from the j30 grill, and indenting the mesh to make a "pocket" for the emblem to sit in. when i get my next paycheck, i just might look into gettin that. ill post pix when i get done with the grill, should i make a tutorial too?? or is it basically self explanitory?? LOL

That's kinda pretty, in a Cadillac sort of way. But how can it be "JDM" if Infinitis aren't sold in Japan?

But just like we try to leopardize our J30s, they try to j30ize their leopard. If you know what I mean.

So true. The "other" way is always "better".

I did the same with some wire mesh on my old silver J. Yours looks to have come out a little smoother than mine did. Also, I'm sure you noticed that you can pop the emblem out from the back. Did you try it without the emblem?

yea, i know the emblem would come out. i bought a spare grill off ebay for practice.

i was planning on gettin this one emblem off ebay, but i cant seem to find it anymore, i believe i mensioned it on this thread earlier. i havent tried it w/out the infiniti emblem. but i kinda like it like that, from an angle u cant see it, but head on, u can see it.....

ps. does anyone know of something i can coat this in, to prevent it from rusting?? i noticed one small rust spot today. :'(

not sure how costly it is but i know that there is a system of clear paint that bonds straight to metal. u would need to find it through some custom paint tho. ill look for it
