One of the economical brake upgrades for your Q50 or Q60 would be replacing the OEM rubber lines with Stainless Steel Brake Lines which improve the pedal feel, help improve braking performance compared to the soft stock rubber lines and longevity as rubber lines will deteriorate faster.

The PTFE hose has an extruded PTFE core, with an outer stainless steel braided wire covering, while the abrasion resistant rubber coating on the outside gives added protection from flying debris; it also gives some abrasion protection from the line rubbing on suspension parts, in extreme braking conditions, with full compression (most movement of line).

DOT certified, which insures that they meet or exceed the DOT certification that is outlined in MVSS-1006 specifications.

And, installation instructions are here: http://www.infinitiq50.net/Q50-SS-Brake ... stall.html

The Tunerzstore lines are installed on my 2014 AWD Sport and work just fine. Installation is straight forward.

Can you please explain to me how its more "economical" to change out rubber brake lines that cost a tenth of the price for a set of SS lines you're promoting?

I think you took "economical" out of context a bit. Economical in the context of upgrades for the Q50, efficient in the improvement of pedal feel and response time.

This is a great modification that's relatively inexpensive (compared to other mods for the Q50) and it's something you'll notice every time you drive the car.

I would suggest upgrading brake fluid during this swap as well.

Mike, I'll hit you up for a set on my Q60 since I already have them on my Q50 :)

I don't understand how these copper washers will seal against the caliper. The sealing surface on the sports calipers are flat, whereas regular calipers have ring ridges that the copper washer conforms to when tightened.

They seal without any issues. Just as the Stoptech brake lines for the G37/370z use the same copper washer set-up for the AKEBONO calipers.
