Not a good idea on the X (AWD) models. Your manual addresses this topic.

The Nissan/Infiniti ATTESSA AWD system is sensitive to front-axle/rear-axle rotational mismatches and will wear faster and potentially misbehave or be damaged, depending on the degree of mismatch.

Please stick with identical wheels on all four corners - even identical tires, since rolling diameters of "identical" sized tires can be different. This is probably not as strong an effect, but why take risks?

There are a number of threads on this topic - a Search will help explain. :)

With the right offset, you can run 20"x10" maybe +42 or +45!! I don't think anyone here has done staggered on awd!! :gotme

i've seen one before, but to me it wasn't very staggered, it was like maybe an inch or half an inch difference, so wouldn't recommend it on AWD

Not sure it would make that much of a difference.
I know mercedes has staggered on their 4matic cars. My wifes c300 4matic came staggered from merc. I know each system is different, but I dont see why the width would make any difference.

I have staggered on my 06 M35x. I've put over 100k on her so far with staggers on, and 120k on my 04 FX35 before I trade it in for the M.

I'm running 20" 8.5 up front on 245/35, and 20" 10 in the back on 285/30.
It's not the width the that can throw your awd off it's the rolling diameter of the wheels. My rolling diameter is the same at all 4 wheels.
I have never have any problem with either vehicle.

i just noticed a buddy of mine is running 245/30/20 in the front and 245/35/20 in the back....he didnt know until I pointed it out to him, perhaps a tire shop mistake??? :wtf2: is that safe or should that be changed immediately? (im concerned because he wanted to sell them to me) and does that work on the M?
