I took my back rims off and put them on the front just to see if they cleared the fenders when turning etc. They are 18x9.5 with 275, 35, 18's and they do fit up front. The fronts are 18x8 with 245, 35, 18's

NA's are not staggered in the first place which leads me to believe that there shouldn't be a drastic impact. But I wanted to get you guys' take on it. If I made the change, I'd be rolling the 18x9.5 with 275, 35, 18's on all four.

Thoughts or advice?

I like a square setup unless the car needs some extra meaty tires in the back. Plus, you can rotate. I had 275s all the way around on mine for a while -- SO much grip!!!!

A square setup on the Z will generally help with handling and make the car less prone to push during high speed entry when cornering. I can't fathom how you got 275 of that diameter to fit on the front without clearance issues, did you actually drive around on them or did you just mock them up on the car while on stands? What are your wheel specs? I am looking at running 255 40 17 all around because I know that with my suspension and the offset on the wheels (which isn't perfect for the car) I will rub the outside if I run any wider. At the end of the day on a daily driven (read: don't do illegal s*** on the streets) car the only up side to staggered is looks, the upside to square is ability to rotate and therefore get a bit more life out of your tires. As far as the physics of it are concerned for anyone not racing professionally "wider is better" all around. I'm sure others will chime in with their opinions but unless you are talking to a pro racing team chief or automotive design engineer all of these opinion INCLUDING MINE should be taken with a grain of salt, and some with the whole damn salt shaker.

I had 18x9.5 +30 wheels on my old Z. If I remember correctly (it was a long time ago) it was 275/30/18. Fenders had been rolled and I had eibach springs, very mild drop. The tires rubbed a little up front over big bumps or if I had a large passenger.

Square setup is king. Nuff said.

Really it comes down to personal preference. Different setups will get you different results, but really in all reality most of us are going to be using our cars for all around. So again what are you comfortable with?

Personally I like a staggered setup because I like seeing a wider lip back aft with wider tires. Not because I like to drag, but I like the look.
