staggered tire size

I have a 91 240sx. Looking at 17x7 +40 and 17x9+35.......any recomended tire size?

Those front wheels are too narrow for a 240sx. Look for something like 17x9+12 with 215/40/17 fronts and 17x9.5+15 with 235/40/17 rears.

If you're not too scared to roll or pull your fenders & dial in some negative camber, you could go with 235/40 fronts and 255/40 rears on these wheel sizes too.

Pizza cutter thin 17x7's up front will get you straight up laughed at by other 240 enthusiasts. See sig for better wheel suggestions. Avoid 962's.
