so you are looking to buy wheels and tires? most people just get tires to fit the wheels they have, I hope you have lots of power to move thos e heavy wheels and tires

that being said, staggared setups are prone to understeer, if your car is tail happy it might help a bit, if your car already pushes staggared will make it worse

based on his other thread, he's got the power.

DO you have the wheels already? are the wheels staggered?

Like i mentioned in the other thread, you may want to google around for J-rho's SM build for ideas.

Yes I allready have the wheels. They are 17 x 9 + 0 all around along with +20mm and +50mm fenders. Current tire setup is 255/40/17 falken azenis. I was thinking of running 255/40/17 front with 275/35/18 rears or 285/35/18 rears mounted on an 18 x 9.5 + 24 wheel. What do you guys think?

keeping the same size will give you a consistand amount of grip at each tire, then you cna tune your suspension to meet your personal driving style

running the same tire will also allow you to rotate tires and MAYBE prolong life a little bit.

The car isnt daily driven at all. It sees action only like once or twice per month.

listen to ldstang50

You will find that the tires will wear differently depending on what corner of the car they were used. This has nothing to do with if it is or is not daily driven.

Example;I use 22x10x13 tires on all 4 corners on my racecar. Take Summit Point for example. 7 of the 10 turns are rights. This puts a lot of wear on the LF tire. I like to x the tires to get the most life out of them. Lf goes to RR; RF goes to LR.
